Where is the war on social disease? There is a war on drugs, cancer, diabetes, aids, other countries, and each other. Never mind that wars generally don’t turn out well for either side. I want a ribbon that supports eradicating social disease. Better yet, how about one of those un-eco friendly bracelets that says “Got Sleaze? Eradicate Social Disease, Please!”. What is social disease you ask? Let me enlighten you. Social Disease is an impairment of health or normal functioning at a society level. We here at HumanityFTW want social disease gone.
Symptoms of social disease include but are not limited to the following:
- JUICY (or any slogan) on the back of a tweens/young teens ass
- Placing a target on your child’s ass is about as stupid as it is irresponsible. Let’s pretend there are no rapists and murderers out there! Come on people, this isn’t about morals, it is about the safety of your child. Rapists, molesters, and murderers aren’t very obvious, otherwise you would know who they are. Placing a target on your child saying “look at my ass” is the same thing as screaming to the world “predators, look at my child!”. It makes me sick at the negligence in putting a child in adult clothes. There is a reason they are called children, they need our guidance to make it to adulthood without getting picked off by a predator. Why advertise? Get a fucking clue people. Every time I see that on a child’s ass (or any scantily clad child), I silently make a wish that that child makes it home okay.
- Toy Soldiers
- Giving these toys to a child is indoctrinating that child into a world of war and violence, subliminally. Would you like a soldier bent over with a machine gun pointing at your child? Most likely not. Why would you emulate it by giving said child a toy that is molded after the military with a machine gun in its hands kneeling down ready to shoot? Children should be taught to value and appreciate life. If they choose to join the military as an adult, that is their choice. By placing toy soldiers in your child’s possession, you are essentially creating someone who is used to war before they are old enough to understand that war isn’t pretty. You might as well hand them a toy that emulates the decapitated bullet riddled baby that is a victim of war. Oh, and give your little tot the special edition toy refugee camp set. Find the serial killer collector cards while you’re at it, kids love them!
- Bratz Dolls
- Why in the world would you ever hand your doll aged daughter a Bratz doll? Is that what you want them to look like as teenagers? Hand your doll aged daughter a Bratz doll and the likely hood that she will be blowing someone your husbands age in 10 years is pretty good. She will definitely be bent over the back of some 19 year old car taking it when she is 12 being taken advantage of by a sleazy creep that can’t date someone their own age. If we don’t know by now that children emulate what they see, we’ve got some serious problems. Aren’t dolls supposed to stimulate the empathy gene in children or comfort them? Handing them dolls that look like teen-aged hookers can be nothing but detrimental. Common fucking sense.
- Fast food cheeseburger is cheaper than a bag of apples
- How is it that a product such as a dollar menu cheeseburger that contains ketchup, mustard, cheese, pickles, 2 buns, and processed beef cost less than apples. A bag of apples contains 6 or 7 APPLES and a bag. There is something fundamentally wrong when a product produced by earth is more expensive than a product produced by man. However, that is not an excuse to not eat your fruits and vegetables people. Humans natural diet are things that can be hunted but mostly gathered. Stick to that and you can afford it. Drive past the fast food places. Go to your grocery store and put down the snack pies, ice cream, TV dinners, frozen fries, frozen pizzas, frozen paninis, cheese poofs, energy drinks, soda, cereal, and most processed food. Walk through the grocery store and say to yourself ”can this be hunted or gathered in nature” and spend your money on that. Snacks are fun and make life not so boring, but come on. Your diet cannot consist of that everyday for thirty years, you’ll be dead or unproductive in society. Spend the money now on good wholesome food and you will pay much less in the future on health-care, hardship, and family sadness. Don’t you want to see your children or future children graduate? They want you to be there! Aren’t you curious as to what your grandchildren may look like? Don’t you want them to live long healthy lives? Set an example and that is how you grow a healthy society. Roll Ups are not fruit!
- Superfund EPA sites
- How did we get so far away from respect of this planet to the point that we have trains filled with chromium buried under our neighborhoods. It is far more common than you think. When the government has a branch dedicated to tagging toxic sites, there is a problem. Look at it for yourself, familiarize yourself with what you are living on or by http://www.epa.gov/superfund/. Ignorance is not bliss. Want to know why you know 20 people with multiple sclerosis within five miles? Ignorance is more than not knowing what you are living by. Ignorance is knowing and then continually buying the products produced by these companies. It is not more important to go to the mall, it is not more important to Starbucks, it is not more important to watch TV. As a society we need to stand up and make this type of business practice unacceptable. If a plumber came into your kitchen and shit on the floor and left, would you pay him? What if that plumber shit on your friends floor, would you consider using that plumbers services? I would think not. It is as simple as knowing what companies did shit in your backyard or someone else’s and not giving them your dollars. That is how you stand up. Money talks, bullshit walks as they say.
We are pack creatures and need society to survive in a healthy way so that our children and their children make it as well. The Mayans lived so that they knew to the best of their efforts that earth (and thus their people) would be around in seven generations. We Westerners seem to have problems with what we are doing right now, let alone what will happen in seven generations. We can’t just think about ourselves. We affect each other, family or not. Taking responsibility for yourself and your family will help fight social disease. Walking around blindly or with a veil over your eyes in unacceptable. Is it coincidence that veil is an anagram of evil and vile, rearrange veil and you also have live. We need to rearrange our lives to live in a way that is good for us and society as a whole.
